About Shari

Thanks a million for coming by to check out my blog!  I’ve been a regular blog reader for about 6 years now and finally decided that I need to let out some of this hot air I’ve been keeping in.   🙂

Fitting fitness and healthy nutrition into an already busy life can be quite a feat (hence the blog title) but it’s well worth the investment of your time.  Hopefully some of the tidbits you get from my blog will help.

I became a personal trainer back in 2001, after my own struggle with weight gain and loss (and gain and loss, and gain and loss – you know the drill.)  My fitness philosophy has evolved immensely through the years as I continue to research, apply and grow.  If there is a fitness and nutrition book out there, chances are it’s sitting on my bookshelf right now!  Or it’s at least been borrowed from the library.  After being my own guinea pig to test diet after diet, I seem to have settled into a natural eating and fitness pattern where maintaining my weight is pretty simple.  And trust me, I like food.  I especially like tasty treats.  You will see through the course of this blog how I eat and exercise to stay fit and healthy.

I am a former NPC Figure and Fitness Model Competitor, a five-time half-marathoner, and a one-time triathlete.  (Can’t say I ever see myself doing another tri, but never say never!)  I love to run, hike and lift weights.  Mostly things where my feet stay firmly planted on the ground!

I am blessed with the world’s BEST husband (referred to as MSP on this blog, for “My Sweetie Pie”), as well as two spazoid dogs who will often be featured characters in many of my posts I’m sure.
